Your dog is part of the family and the facilities here reflect that. They are not an afterthought — a purpose-built spa, a doggy menu at the café, a treat waiting at reception and a walking trail that starts at the gate.
Here is everything on the park for your dog.
Clean Paws dog spa
Clean Paws is our purpose-built dog wash, set centrally on the park and free to use throughout your stay. A day on the beach or through the heather deserves a proper clean-up and Clean Paws is exactly that.
Dog bath
Full-size bath with a hot water shower — room enough for any breed.
Professional hairdryer
A proper dog hairdryer, not a travel hairdryer balanced on a shelf.
Free to use
No charge, no booking needed. Open all day to every guest.
Dog shampoo is available to buy from the on-site shop if you need it.
Reception welcome
Your dog gets a proper welcome at reception, with a treat waiting from the team. They are always happy to recommend walks, dog friendly beaches with up-to-date seasonal information and local pubs and cafés that welcome dogs.
Dog waste bins are sited throughout the park. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times within the park and exercised off site.
Oak Mead Café
The Oak Mead Café at our on-site golf course welcomes dogs and has a doggy menu of its own — one of very few holiday park cafés in the South West to offer one. Dog friendly ice cream is served throughout the season.
Dogs are welcome throughout the café. It makes a difference when you can sit down properly with a coffee and your dog rather than tying them up outside.

On-site shop
The on-site shop stocks everyday goods alongside dog essentials — shampoo for use in Clean Paws, treats and other supplies. Useful if you have forgotten something or run out mid-stay.
The Donkey Sanctuary trail
A signed walking trail runs from the park gate through ancient managed hedgerow to the Donkey Sanctuary — fifteen minutes on foot, level ground throughout. No car needed.
The trail connects to the South West Coast Path, so from the Sanctuary you can carry on to the clifftops and come back on a circular route.

Dog friendly accommodation
Dogs are welcome across every type of accommodation at Oakdown. Each has a page of its own with the full detail.
Luxury lodges
Five of our sixteen lodges welcome up to two dogs. A dog bed, blanket, dining station and welcome treat are provided.
Touring and camping
Dogs are welcome on all 97 touring pitches. Pup tents are available to hire — ask at reception or add one when you book.
Glamping
Barrel pods and premier pods welcome dogs. The shepherd’s huts do not. Please bring your dog’s own bedding.
