Oak Mead opened in the summer of 2003, planned from the start as somewhere the whole family could play together rather than a course for serious golfers only. It is a nine hole short course and pitch and putt, 748 yards long. It suits a first club swing as happily as a practised short game.
Every hole carries a floral name. See how you get on with Honeysuckle Bank, First Foxglove, Daisy Chain or Marigold Dip.

Playing a round
Clubs, a ball and a tee are included when you play, so there is no need to bring anything with you. Extra balls are available if you lose one to the rough.

The Oak Mead cafe and shop
The Oak Mead cafe and shop sits beside the first tee and holds a five star food hygiene rating. Tim and Trish serve the ever popular breakfast baps to take away, alongside hot and cold food, barista coffee and speciality teas.
Gluten free options are on the menu and allergen information is clearly displayed. Wherever we can we buy locally — Vinnicombes Bakery, Fowlers eggs, SJB Foods and a coffee roaster in Newton Abbot all supply us.
The cafe opened on 1 May 2006 and is open to non residents, so you are welcome whether you are staying on the park or just passing. It is a smoke free and pet free space, with plenty of outdoor seating.
Finding us
Oak Mead sits directly opposite Oakdown Holiday Park on Gatedown Lane, just off the A3052 between Sidmouth and Seaton. The Route 899 bus stops at the gates.
There is parking at the course. If you are staying with us, it is a short walk across from the park.
