Devon shepherd's huts
Two individually decorated shepherd’s huts nestled into The Shire, our dedicated glamping grove. Same footprint, two completely different interiors — each one its own character. Sleeping four, they are finished with real care and attention.
The huts are our most complete glamping option. Bedding is included and made up for you, there is a television with a DVD player inside and a chiminea BBQ outside for the evenings.
Our shepherd’s huts are reserved for guests without pets.
What's inside
- Sleeping — a made-up double bed and sofa bed sleeping up to four.
- Living — sofa, TV with DVD player and an electric fire.
- Kitchen — breakfast bar, fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave.
- Outside — breakfast table, picnic bench and a chiminea BBQ.
- Mood lighting — softly lit inside for the evenings.
Good to know
Bedding is included in the shepherd’s huts and made up before you arrive. Crockery and cutlery for four are provided.
Minimum stay is two nights. Some high season dates and events need longer, so please check with reception.
There are steps up to the door of each hut. Water and waste points are close by.
The huts are reserved for guests without pets.
Try a pod instead
The shepherd’s huts are kept pet-free, so if you are travelling with a dog our pods are the ones to book. Both welcome dogs and sit in the same grove, a few steps away.
Barrel pods are the compact option with one small step up. Premier pods give you three linked rooms and level access.

A dedicated toilet block with a dishwashing area sits right beside The Shire, for glamping guests only. The main amenities block is a short walk away with showers, baths, toilets and full laundry facilities.
