Meet the team
Oakdown is family run rather than family owned at a distance. You will meet the people whose name is over the door, usually somewhere on the park rather than behind a desk.
Reception is open daily from 8.30am to 9.00pm. Outside those hours there is a push bell outside the door which brings the duty member of staff on site.
Jason and Kirsty on what it is like to work at Oakdown. Eight minutes, and worth it.
The name over the door
The Franks family
Alastair and Andrianna Franks
Alastair’s family created Oakdown in the 1970s. He plus Andrianna run it now, as the husband and wife team Channel 4 viewers met when the park featured on The Perfect Pitch.
Roger and Doreen Franks
The generation before. Roger is still named alongside Alastair for holiday home matters plus anything formal you would rather raise with a director.

The wider team
Jason Taylor, park manager
Jason runs the park day to day. He is also our greenkeeper, so if Oak Mead is looking trim that is his doing — he moves the holes about to keep you honest. He lives on the park with his family.
Kirsty, Oak Mead café
Kirsty works at the café over the road. Breakfast baps, paninis, barista coffee plus whatever you forgot to pack from the shop.
Reception
Whoever is on will know the tide times, the bus, the best beach for the wind that day plus which pitch suits your outfit. It is worth asking.
