Our park is a popular choice for those looking for top quality touring and camping in Devon. Our AA Platinum-graded site is home to thousands of trees and shrubs and the pitches are level, closely mown and very generous in size with parking alongside your accommodation. We have non-serviced pitches, ideal for camping, serviced pitches with electrical hook-up and three of our spacious groves have super-serviced pitches with water, grey waste and electrical hook-up.
Oakdown is an ideal location for exploring our beautiful surroundings, visiting the Jurassic coast and experiencing many of our local attractions and festivals.
For safety’s sake we do not allow the use of firepits, bicycles, skateboards or flying of kites on the Park. If you would like to BBQ and need fire bricks, to protect the grass, please talk to reception.
Seasonal Pitches
Our seasonal pitches are a great way to have countless holidays throughout the year at Oakdown. You are able to locate your tourer for the whole season on a specific pitch and are welcome to use at your leisure. Family and friends can also benefit from using your seasonal pitch, with your permission! The only other charge you need to think about is your metered electricity and your winter storage fee.

Amenities
De-luxe, centrally heated tiled amenities include a baby changing area, showers and bathrooms (one with some aids for less abled users) all enjoying free hot water. Please note there is a £1 charge to fill the bath to have a proper soak – perfect for family use.
The entrance halls provide comprehensive information areas, dish washing facilities – free hot water, freezer storage space and microwaves for general use. We also benefit from coin operated washing machine/tumble driers – £5.50 and £2.50 per cycle respectively.
Pet Care
Clean Paws dog spa.
With your canine friend in mind, the team designed and built a bespoke dog wash. It’s been named Clean Paws and is fully equipped with a dog bath, hot water shower and dog hair dryer.
The lighting in the hut is solar powered and the spa is open all day. We have also reduced the carbon footprint by using recycled materials from the site and local companies.
This facility is all free for your use, when you stay at Oakdown.
Dog shampoo is available in our shop.
Oak Mead Shop/Café
This amazing shop/café located in an impressive lodge is well stocked, managed and run by the lovely Trish and Tim. They serve a comprehensive range of local foods and of course the essentials such as bread, milk, eggs, bacon, croissants, breakfast pastries, camping equipment, pocket money toys and so much more.
The café serves hot food to takeaway only at present – there is a covered outdoor space to enjoy your holiday treats and to catch up with friends. There is a great selection which will please the whole family from homemade pizzas, chicken burgers, chips, paninis, barista coffees, milkshakes and of course their famous homemade gelato – check out those flavours………….
Security
Oakdown takes security very seriously. There is only one entrance into each side of the park, which is protected by a height restricting barrier between the hours of 10.30pm until 8.30am. The barrier restricts all vehicles over 2m or 6’6″ from arriving or leaving the park. This is something you need to be mindful of if your vehicle is above restricted height – we would only open the security barriers out of hours in an emergency situation.
Both storage area gates are padlocked at night and have infra red beams, which if breached will set off the alarm system. With regards to keeping your property as secure as possible we have a fully comprehensive and discreet CCTV system – which also covers the car park.
Throughout twilight hours the park is lit by low level lighting for your safe passage to amenities.
We always have a duty warden on site who can be easily contacted in the case of emergencies – 24 hours a day.
