Oakdown Holiday Park Rules

These Park Rules are in place for the benefit of all who use Oakdown and the good management of the park.  These Rules together with the terms and conditions form part of the Agreement that is the contract between us, you and your guests for your occupation of a Touring Pitch, Seasonal Pitch, Leisure Lodge, or Glamping Accommodation on the Park.

You must act in a courteous and considerate manner towards us, our staff and anyone visiting the park, including other customers and anyone completing work here.

Security – The Park is protected at night by height restricting barriers at the Park entrances.  These barriers restrict all vehicles over 2m or 6’ 6” high from entering/exiting between the hours of 10.30pm and 8.30am.  Except for Emergency situations, the times of opening and closing the barriers will not be changed.

Dogs – Up to 2 dogs are welcome in our pet-friendly Leisure Lodges in Hazel Grove and 3 on touring pitches they must always be supervised by you or a responsible adult, kept on a lead, and exercised OFF the Park (our Field Trail which leads to the Donkey Sanctuary is only 30 yards from the Park entrance).  Dogs must not be allowed onto the seating area or the beds of any Lodge or Pod. Under no circumstance should dogs be left unattended, and you must pick up after your dog.  Dog bins are provided around the park.  Dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are not permitted on Park.

Vehicles – Vehicle speed must not exceed 10mph anywhere on the park, please reduce this when wet or the park is busy.  All vehicles must be parked within the allocated parking space, any extra vehicle can be accommodated with prior notification, (maximum of 2 cars per pitch).   There are electrical charging points for vehicles, please ask at Reception for their locations.

Safety – Please adhere to all safety notices.  For safety reasons we do not allow the use of bicycles, skateboards, electric scooters or the flying of kites or drones on the Park.  You are responsible for the safety and supervision of your child (ren), so they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or others on the park.  Playing field/ball games are only permitted if they do not impact or cause a nuisance to others.  Please do not allow your children to play in front of Reception as this area is busy with arrivals and deliveries.

Behaviour – You must act in a courteous and considerate manner and keep noise levels to a minimum between the hours of 10.30pm and 9.00am.  In addition, the following will not be tolerated: criminal activities, use of fireworks, possession of any firearm or weapons, taking of illegal drugs, carrying out any trade or business, allow anyone (to your knowledge) who is on the Violent and Sex Offender Register to occupy your caravan.

The right is reserved to refuse acceptance or to terminate the visit of any person or persons whose conduct is detrimental to Oakdown Touring Park or to guests on the Park.  No refund will be given of ANY monies already received if this right is implemented and we shall not be liable for any extra cost incurred by you.  We reserve the right to refuse future bookings.

Insurance – Please ensure that your caravan/vehicle and accessories are adequately insured.  You are solely responsible for your property.  The owners will accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, expense, or injury suffered to belongings, or persons, however caused, whilst on the park.  This does not however affect your rights if loss or damage or personal injury occurred through fault on our part.

Fires, Fire Pits and fuel burning appliances – Strictly no firepits or open fires allowed on Park.  Strictly NO fuel-burning appliances inside tents or awnings.  Please be aware of the risks of carbon monoxide poisoning.  If using a BBQ, please ask at Reception for bricks to raise it off the grass.  You must ensure that all occupants of your accommodation are familiar with the location of the Fire Points.

Clothes Lines – Temporary clothes lines are permitted but must be removed when not in use.  Do not attach clothes lines to trees or hedges.

Any damage to the Park or equipment should be reported to Reception at once and replaced or repaired to Management satisfaction before leaving.  Failure to report a significant breakage/damage may result in refusal of future bookings.

Waste – Please recycle glass, paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, batteries, and cans at the recycling bank which are situated outside the main amenity block – Please do not use these between the hours of 9pm and 9am.  Please follow signage on bins.   Please use the bins provided and do not deposit refuse outside accommodation.

Touring Pitches – Only breathable ground sheets will be permitted on grass pitches.  No restrictions on hard standings.  Windbreaks must not protrude over your pitch boundaries.  If a gazebo is erected, it will be charged as a full awning.  Please see tariff for charges.

Victorian Reed Bed – Please do not put any foreign items into the drainage system including cleaning cloths, any type of wet wipe, babies’ nappies, sanitary towels, condoms, cooking fat, engine oil, grease or paint.

Accommodation in either a Leisure Lodge, Shepherd’s Hut, or pod – Children aged 15 or under should not be left unsupervised in our accommodation.  There is a strictly no smoking in the accommodation or immediate vicinity.  We reserve the right to enter your accommodation at any time for any reasonable purpose, for example to undertake checks, maintenance work or housekeeping.  You are responsible for the contents of the accommodation whilst it is let to you.  Accommodation should be left in the condition in which it was found.  If this rule is breached future bookings will be subject to a refundable cleaning deposit of £50.
