Oak Mead is a nine-hole par 3 course, 748 yards long, designed for players of all abilities. Complete beginners are very much included. The course was established in 2003 and officially opened by Professor David Bellamy OBE on 23rd June 2004 — a day the Franks family remembers with great pride.
All nine holes carry a floral name in keeping with the park’s conservation ethos. Club hire, ball and tee are included in every green fee. The café is open to all — guests and non-residents alike — with a 5-Star Food Hygiene Rating and dogs welcome throughout.

Oak Mead Café & Shop
The café is open to everyone — Oakdown guests and non-residents alike. Take a break from exploring the Jurassic Coast and the surrounding area and come and enjoy freshly prepared food in a relaxed setting. Dogs are welcome throughout.
The team serve breakfast baps to take away, a full cooked breakfast, a wide selection of hot and cold food, barista coffees, speciality teas and cold drinks. The shop is well stocked with everyday essentials and more.

Dogs are welcome throughout the café and on the outdoor terrace. A dedicated doggy menu is available throughout the season.

Made fresh and served until 7pm on summer evenings. Eat in or take away to your pitch, pod or lodge.

The Course
All nine holes carry a floral name in keeping with Oak Mead’s conservation spirit — a nod to the David Bellamy legacy and the park’s thirty years of Gold Award recognition. The course plays 748 yards over nine holes, par 27.

Professor David Bellamy OBE at Oak Mead
On 23rd June 2004, Professor David Bellamy OBE arrived at Oakdown to officially open Oak Mead Golf Course. Representatives from HARPA arrived by helicopter, landing right on the course itself. It was a memorable day for the Franks family and for everyone at the park.
