Park facilities
We think a holiday should be as easy as possible, so most of what you need is here on the park. Amenity blocks, two play areas, a free dog wash, a café and shop, our own golf course plus a private trail to the Donkey Sanctuary.
Whether you are here for a weekend or a season, you should not have to get in the car for the everyday things.
Amenity blocks and services
Our amenity blocks hold showers, toilets, laundry rooms plus dishwashing areas, all kept to the standard the five star rating asks for. There are two blocks, one on the main park then a second on Beech Grove.
Electric vehicle charging
Four Pod Point charge points on the park. There is also a disabled parking bay directly outside reception.
Gas bottle exchange
We stock Calor gas — 6kg propane plus 7kg butane. Order at reception, then ask if you would like a hand getting it to your pitch. We keep stock up wherever we can, though we cannot promise a particular size will be waiting on the day you arrive.
WiFi
There is a network of access points around the park, fed by a fibre optic line laid specially — the local exchange could not carry the demand. We are still adding points where coverage is thin, so do check availability before you buy a voucher. This is a rural valley, so signal strength can come and go.
Clean Paws dog spa
Our own dog wash, built here on the park. Your dog walks up a ramp into a secure area where there is a bath, a hot water shower plus a doggie hair dryer. There is no charge for it.
It is open all day. The lighting is solar powered then our panels offset some of the electricity. It was built using recycled materials from the site, with local companies doing the work.
It proves most popular with the owners — perhaps less so with the dogs. There is more on what we offer dog owners across the park on our dog friendly holidays page.
Play areas
Two play areas, one on each side of the park, both open to every guest. You will find climbing frames, swings, an embankment slide plus a play tower, all with modern safety surfacing underneath.
One sits beside the Oak Mead café on Beech Grove, handy if you are staying that side. The other is a new £100,000 play park, eighty metres from reception, opened for the 2025 season.
Please supervise children in the play areas at all times.
Golf, café and shop
Oak Mead is our own nine hole par three course, over the road from the park on Gatedown Lane. It opened in the summer of 2003, planned from the start as somewhere a family could play together. Clubs, a ball plus a score card come with your round, collected from the café. Our greenkeeper Jason keeps it trim then moves the holes about to keep you honest.
It is open all year to guests as well as to visitors. Guests staying with us get a discount — just ask at reception. Sorry, no dogs on the course.
The café and shop sit beside the first tee. Breakfast baps, paninis, barista coffee plus a well stocked shop for anything you forgot to pack. You can order newspapers, croissants, fresh bread or pastries — there are deliveries daily. It opened on 1 May 2006.

The field trail and bird hide
A private field trail runs from the park along the northern boundary towards the Donkey Sanctuary fields. It is a proper countryside walk rather than a path beside a road, so children can run on ahead while dogs go on leads.
Our Victorian reed bed sits along the way, with a bird hide beside it — a good spot to sit with a coffee early on. The trail closes at 6pm.
