Recognised for the way we do things
Our awards
Oakdown has been judged by the AA, by Visit Devon, by Practical Caravan plus by the David Bellamy Conservation scheme. The awards below are the ones we hold now, followed by those we have won down the years.
The one we are proudest of is the Bellamy Gold. We have held it every year since 1996.

Visit Devon Tourism Awards — Holiday Park of the Year
Gold. Judges carried out mystery visits to 75 finalists, whittled down from 205 entries. The announcement came at the end of a busy year that saw the shepherd’s huts introduced, a new reception plus a redesigned coffee shop.
“To win gold in these awards is an incredible result for us, and we’re thrilled to be a winner against some seriously tough competition.”
Alastair Franks
Held every year since 1996
The Bellamy Gold
Oakdown was one of just fifteen holiday parks to receive the special award when it was first presented in 2008, having been a Gold winner since the scheme began.
Professor Bellamy singled out the habitat creation on the Oak Mead golf course.
“The award recognises that your environmental work is truly innovative and something of which you can be rightly proud.”
Professor David Bellamy
