Dog Friendly Lodges in Devon

Five luxury lodges near Sidmouth welcoming up to two dogs. A proper welcome pack waiting on arrival — and Clean Paws for when the walk is done.

Five of our sixteen luxury leisure lodges welcome up to two dogs. We have thought about what a dog actually needs on holiday — not just a place to sleep but a proper welcome. Each dog-friendly lodge has a dining station with food and water bowl, a dog bed and blanket, a welcome treat and a corkscrew ground anchor waiting on arrival.

Clean Paws, our purpose-built dog spa, is a short walk from every lodge. The Donkey Sanctuary trail starts at the park gate. East Devon’s finest dog-friendly countryside is on the doorstep.

Home from home — with room for the dog

The Dog Friendly Lodges

Five of our sixteen luxury leisure lodges are dog friendly. Each one is finished to the same high standard as the rest — double-glazed, centrally heated, fully equipped kitchen with microwave and fridge freezer, two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a comfortable lounge with flat-screen TV. The difference is that dogs are genuinely planned for, not just permitted.

Up to two dogs are welcome per lodge. A dog charge applies per dog per stay — please check current rates at the time of booking.

Popular and limited. Only five of our sixteen lodges are dog friendly. They book up quickly — we recommend booking early, particularly for school holidays and summer.

Clean Paws Dog Spa

Clean Paws is our purpose-built dog wash, located centrally on the park and free to use throughout your stay. Full dog bath, hot water shower and a professional hairdryer. It was built specifically so that dogs coming back from a walk on the beach or through the heather do not have to go straight back into a clean lodge.

No booking needed. Open all day. Available to all guests regardless of accommodation type.

Free for all guests throughout your stay. Dog shampoo is available to purchase from the on-site shop if you need it.

The trail connects to the South West Coast Path. From the Sanctuary you can continue to the clifftops and back on a circular route — a proper walk without needing to get in the car.

Lodge Dog Policy

Dogs per lodge

Up to two dogs welcome per lodge. Please let us know at the time of booking how many dogs you are bringing.

Dog charge

A charge applies per dog per stay. Rates are reviewed annually — please check current figures at the time of booking.

On leads throughout

Dogs must be kept on leads at all times within the park. Please exercise dogs off-site — reception can advise on off-lead areas nearby.

Not left unattended

Please do not leave dogs unattended in the lodge. If you need advice on local dog care options during your stay, reception is happy to help.

Please bring your dog’s own bedding if preferred. A dog bed and blanket are provided in each lodge but if your dog has a favourite blanket, bring it along — familiar scents help dogs settle.
