Primrose and Poppy are our two premier pods — the most spacious glamping option in The Shire. Three linked rooms, a generous covered deck and a proper dining area make them ideal for a family of four with a dog. They have been popular since the day they arrived and it is easy to see why.

Dogs are welcome. Clean Paws is a short walk from the pods. The Donkey Sanctuary trail starts at the park gate fifteen minutes away on foot.

Primrose and Poppy

The Premier Pods

Both premier pods are identical — the names are the only difference. Each has three linked rooms: a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a central dining and kitchenette space. The rooms can be separated with curtains for privacy. They sleep a family of four comfortably with room for a dog.

The double bedroom has shelves for storing personal items and an under-bed storage box. The twin bedroom — which doubles as cushioned bench seating during the day — is light and airy. The central dining area connects both rooms and opens out to the covered deck.

Outside, a generous covered deck with a canopy provides space for the whole family whatever the weather. A love seat and a picnic table sit on the deck alongside the entrance. Parking is a short walk away.

Minimum stay: two nights. Both pods are non-smoking and pet friendly.

What’s Included in Every Premier Pod

In every pod

★ Kitchen — fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster, cupboard and shelving.

★ Dining area — dining table with four stools in the central room.

★ Covered deck — generous canopied outdoor space with love seat and picnic table.

★ Lighting — large energy-saving bulbs on bright orange cords throughout all three rooms.

★ Storage — shelves and under-bed storage box in the double bedroom.

★ Privacy curtains — between rooms so the family can have their own space.

Bedding: bedding packs are available to purchase at £15.00 per bundle. If you prefer not to purchase one please bring your own bedding, towels and pillows. Dog bedding is not provided — please bring your own.

Dogs are very welcome

Bringing Your Dog

Both premier pods welcome up to two dogs at £4.10 per dog per night. Dogs must not be left unattended in the pod at any time. Please bring your dog’s own bedding.

Clean Paws — our purpose-built dog wash with full bath, hot water shower and hairdryer — is a short walk from all glamping pitches and free to use throughout your stay. The Donkey Sanctuary field trail starts at the park gate, fifteen minutes on foot. The Oak Mead Café has a dedicated doggy menu and dogs are welcome throughout.

Dog charge

£4.10 per dog per night. Up to two dogs per pod. Not to be left unattended at any time.

Clean Paws spa

Purpose-built dog wash. Free to use. Short walk from all glamping pitches. Open all day throughout your stay.

Our shepherd’s huts are reserved for guests without pets. If you are bringing a dog Primrose and Poppy are perfect — spacious, well-equipped and ready for a great stay together.
