The Jurassic Coast Trust and Sidmouth in Bloom
Oakdown Holiday Park is a Project Sponsor of the Trust and raises funds through its ‘Investing in the Future’ scheme, which aims to help protect and conserve the stunning landscape and coastline of the World Heritage Site through projects funded by voluntary visitor donations.
The project Oakdown Holiday Park has chosen also supports ‘Sidmouth in Bloom’ as it combines educating people about the Jurassic Coast with planting on the Triangle Site in the centre of Sidmouth.
The park has raised money through this scheme to fund the creation and installation of the Rhynchorsaurus floral display at the Triangle in Sidmouth which was unveiled last year.
Oakdown also sponsors the floral display on the War memorial at Sidmouth annually.
Over the years the park has notched up an impressive raft of awards, including Sidmouth’s President’s Silver Rose Bowl Award and is currently East Devon’s only AA 5 Pennant Graded Park.
Doreen Franks, joint-owner of the park, said: “Oakdown has just opened for the 2014 season. The well-trained team are ready and waiting to welcome our guests into the park and area. We are proudly displaying awards which we have won and trust it will assure people of the quality of expertise and training behind all the team to make their holiday at Oakdown second to none in the area.
